A little about myself:

I am a 20+ year veteran teacher. I teach middle school math (grades 6-8) in sunny Santa Ana, California. I am very lucky, that through several grants and priorities at my site, my students and I have access to a great deal of technology in my classroom. For the past 3 years (2005-08) I have worked as a technology coach at my site, assisting both teachers and students use technology tools effectively. For the 2008-09 school year, I will return to the classroom and teach 3 sections of math intervention. This is a mandated class for students who score Basic, Below Basic and Far Below Basic on the California state mathematics test (STAR). Since these student must take my class instead of an elective, I want to make the class as engaging as possible.
